North East (2016)

Connecticut

63B60949-9F2E-464C-B06D-C0D40F1A0F6F On June 29th we began our tour of Connecticut, specifically the area in which my grandpa grew up. We drove by his childhood home and then, on the 30th, toured the land on which his first house, the one in which he was born, once stood. Afterwards, we visited Fort Trumbull and walked around it. On our way out of Connecticut on June 1st, we stopped in the small town of Mystic. There we witnessed a modern day drawbridge in action and experienced the volume of the fog horn which is so high several people almost dropped their phones in the water. Thankfully no one did.

Next stop, Massachusetts.
