North East (2016)

Vermont

670f4edb-e4ed-4d65-84f8-24a5f033c35cJuly 11 was our first day in Vermont. While there we went on several tours including tours of a cider mill, a coffee shop, and Ben & Jerry’s.

After following our tour guide through the factory, when we learned exactly how Vermont’s finest comes to be, we were provided the opportunity to sample Ben & Jerry’s Cherry Garcia. Once this flavor was added to our mental favorites list, we exited the building and hiked up to the Flavor Graveyard. This cemetery is the place where a memorial is set up for each unsuccessful flavor of ice-cream that Ben & Jerry have created. It was bittersweet as we walked around reading each gravestone. Surprisingly, we did come across some deceased flavors which sounded 8CA74180-C05F-4F39-85AA-2D202F61B292pretty good like Fresh Georgia¬†Peach and Chocolate Comfort. Oh, well. On our way back to the van, we stopped at a little tent where free spin art was being advertised. Each member of my family created one and was quite pleased with the results. After taking pictures with the ice-cream lid and Ben & Jerry’s van, we returned to our own vehicle.

Next stop, Canada!
