On July 17, we made an afternoon long stop at the New River Gorge bridge in West Virginia. After Dad drove across the bridge multiple times, so that we could soak in the view, we parked and toured the Visitor’s Center. Next, we drove down to the bottom of the gorge where Haydn and Anz changed into their swimsuits for a quick swim in the river. The rest of the family sat contentedly on the rocky shore watching, eating lunch, and otherwise occupying themselves. About two hours after my younger siblings set a foot in the water, my family and I packed up and headed to our next hotel.
Next stop, the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter!
